We should measure prosperity not by the number of millionaires but by the absence of poverty, the prevalence of health, and the efficiency of the public schools.

People measure our economy based on how the rich are doing financially.

How can we respond to COVID without sacrificing the economy? How can we respond to COVID without sacrificing rich people's yacht money? How can we save the environment? sounds nice, but what about the economy? Save the environment sounds nice, but what about the rich people's yachts? Medicare for all would destroy rich people's yacht money. Medicare for all would destroy many people's yacht money.
